Positions Available – Aboriginal Family Worker (Identified)
Aboriginal Family Workers walk alongside Aboriginal families during times of challenge and change. The role is grounded by the belief that every family has strengths, and every child deserves to grow up safe, connected to culture, and surrounded by love. By supporting families to heal, grow, and thrive, we help reduce the need for child protection intervention and strengthen community-led solutions.
- Support parents and carers to build confidence and strengthen parenting skills.
- Deliver culturally safe parenting programs and healing-focused support.
- Work closely with Aboriginal youth, women, men, and Elders to co-design pathways to wellbeing.
- Promote safe homes and the social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) of children and caregivers.
- Provide trauma-informed support and advocacy for families navigating complex systems.
- Ensure all work is guided by Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing.
- Collaborate ethically with your team and maintain confidentiality and trust.
