Junaya Family Development Services works proactively to engage with the targeted population groups, the wider community and with government and non-government services to increase children, young people and family’s participation and build their capacity through knowledge and skill building.
Through consistent implementation of sustainable strategies that address social, economic inequalities, Junaya Family Development Services advocates, empowers, promotes, and protects the human rights of the children, young people, and families we connect with. Our Family Support Services takes form of Case Management, Parenting Support Programs and Children and Youth Support Programs.
In 2020, we relocated to premises located in the medical precinct in Blacktown. Along with offices for staff, it has two meeting rooms for its group work activities and a counselling room. These facilities are available for hire to other organisations and professionals so that we can add to the services we provide to our children, young people, and families.
Families accessing the services provided by Junaya Family Development Services are accepted do this in a voluntary capacity and have, therefore the right to leave the service at any time. In the event that families leave the service while Junaya Family Development Services continues to hold concerns for their children, staff will comply with their responsibilities as mandatory reporters.
